Now this is a fun and relaxing way to spend a day in Mazatlan! Head well outside of Mazatlan into rural Mexico, where we will discover the natural beauty of Sinaloa. Grab a kayak and let's get wet! We'll put in by the brand new Picachos Dam and float down the river for 11 km, watching rural Mexican life go by, splashing, swimming and just enjoying. THIS
TOUR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE Then it's time to really relax and freshen up with the ancient Nahuatl tradition of Temazcal. Your Temazcalero will explain to you the natural phenomenon that is Temazcal, and help you to experience this very special steam lodge and spa. Native Mexican cultures still use these steam lodges today to purify and heal body and soul. Totally refreshed, we will now visit a Mexican pueblo where we will enjoy a hot cooked lunch, then visit a local bakery which is always so fun! We will finish things off with a visit to a tequila factory where you can learn about tequila, how it is made, how to drink it properly (no you don't need salt and lime!), and taste many varieties you never knew existed. This is really an off-the-beaten-track day trip from Mazatlan that will open your eyes to a whole different side of Mexico. Cruise Passengers: This tour makes a great shore excursion.
