This is the perfect tour to observe migrating
birds along this mangrove-lined canal, where you'll see all
types of water fowl such as the Roseate Spoonbill, Wood Stork,
Yellow-Crowned Night Herons, Caspian Terns, Brown Pelicans,
Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks, Black Night Herons, Boat-Billed
Herons, and White-Faced Ibis searching for food along mud flats
and sandbars.
After a short drive through rural country,
we'll launch the kayaks and begin our tour. As we glide
down the waterway, we'll be watching for Ospreys, Red-Tailed
Hawks, Mangrove Swallow, Belted Kingfishers, and Mangrove
Warblers, making their homes among the mangroves. We may
also see local fishermen throwing a traditional net to bring in
shrimp and small fish for the market or a family dinner.
The pace of the tour is relaxed and you will
find that the kayak allows unequaled access to the shore and
wading birds. Professional instruction is included and the
underlying words are safe and comfortable.
